About me

I provide consultancy services in business planning, strategy, and policy development, in fundraising, and in project co-ordination and management.

A highly experienced senior cultural professional, I have a broad range of skills and expertise gained through a career in arts leadership and management and arts, cultural and creative education. I have substantial experience of organisational leadership, partnership working, financial management, fundraising, evaluation and strategic planning and development. With excellent communication skills, I am immersed in arts, creativity and learning and have a profound belief in their power to transform lives.

I work in the cultural sector, aiming to work with clients from arts, creative and cultural organisations,  the education sector, funders, and local authorities. Much of my work focuses on increasing access, especially for children and young people. I am an experienced presenter and trainer and have frequently written to publication standard.

Based in the South East, I am happy to work both nationally and internationally and have over the last 10 years of my work as Chief Executive of Artswork, given frequent presentations about the value of arts and creativity in the education and lives of children and young people – including  invitations to present on this subject in Singapore, Chile and Thailand.

I also support the cultural sector through giving time and expertise as a volunteer. I am a Trustee of a number of organisations including Nordoff Robbins, a national charity committed to the transformational role of music and music therapy.

Working in different organisations throughout my career, both nationally and internationally,  has given me a broad perspective on the arts, creative and education sectors. I have been a music teacher and senior leaders in schools, a senior arts manager at Arts Council England, and have held a number of Chief Executive/Director roles.

I am Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
